We spent the 4th of July visiting the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, Florida. What an amazing place. I am always amazed at the foliage that grows in different regions of our nation/ world.
The evening was spent at the beach watching fireworks explode around us in every direction.
In Florida Fireworks are legal and the locals set them off all along the beach front.
In Illinois, they are illegal, as many of us Illinoisans know. So imagine our reaction as the began to set and we had fireworks going off all around us. Some in very close range. A bit unnerving , for sure . So we moved to the boardwalk to watch them . A bit safer of a place to watch the celebration amongst us.
Here are some of the pictures taken at Heritage Colonial Village and the Florida Botanical Gardens.
IF you are in the Clearwater / Tampa area, these are two of the best kept secrets around. These two tourists sites are WORTH the visit.
Enjoy.
